Cape Cod Web Cams: An Eye on Heaven

Even if you’re not at the Cape, you still can watch the sunset on Eastham’s bay beaches by checking a web cam.

Web cams have to be one of the coolest inventions ever. I love that the cam just north of Cooks Brook Beach allows me to view bay tides and sunsets when I can’t be in Eastham. That lets me feel a little bit closer to one of the prettiest spots on earth.  But don’t say I didn’t warn you: If you love the Cape as much as I do, checking this cam can become habit-forming. But that’s not a bad thing! I’ve found that taking a quick look at various Cape Cod web cams is a wonderful way to begin each day, and I love to wrap up my work day with a peek at how Mother Nature has decided to paint the sky over Cape Cod Bay that evening.

I’ve bookmarked several Cape Cod web cams in and around Eastham so I can stay up-to-date on what’s happening around the Cape.  Most cams automatically update from every few seconds to once each hour, but note that they aren’t all in operation during the winter months. Here are a few of my favorites:
